Alto do Malhão

Alto do Malhão is a mountain summit near Loulé rising to about 419 meters with steep, rocky slopes on all sides. The terrain features rugged hillsides and stony ground that characterize this part of southeastern Portugal.

The mountain was incorporated into professional cycling events, particularly the Volta ao Algarve, where it has regularly served as a stage finish. This involvement connected it to the broader history of competitive cycling in Portugal.
