The Church of Saint George stands as one of the largest Serbian Orthodox churches in Vojvodina, featuring traditional architectural elements and detailed iconography.
Following the destruction of a previous church during the Hungarian Revolution of 1848, this structure was built between 1851 and 1858 to serve the local community.
The interior of the church contains religious artworks and frescoes that represent the artistic traditions of 19th-century Serbian Orthodox craftsmanship.

The central tower underwent restoration between 1965 and 1966 after sustaining damage during World War II in October 1944.
