Potter Park Zoo

Potter Park Zoo is a zoo in Lansing that uses about 20 acres to display over 500 animals from more than 100 species. The animal areas are arranged to let visitors see creatures from different continents in settings that reflect their natural homes.

The zoo opened in 1915 as a small city project. Over time it expanded to become a major attraction for the region of Michigan.

The zoo offers visitors chances to learn about wildlife and conservation through hands-on programs. By watching animals up close and attending demonstrations, you can see why protecting these creatures matters.
