Statesview, Federal architecture house in Knox County, United States

Statesview stands as a two-story brick residence with a main section, northeast wing, and modern rear addition, featuring balanced window arrangements and symmetrical proportions.

The original structure, constructed in 1805 by architect Thomas Hope for surveyor Charles McClung, underwent reconstruction in 1823 following extensive fire damage.

The property represents early American architectural principles through its Federal design elements, including balanced proportions, central entry hall, and simplified ornamentation.

The historic residence sits on a wooded lot opposite the intersection of South Peters Road and George Williams Road in Knoxville, Tennessee.

Frederick Heiskell transformed the estate into Fruit Hill, developing 1,200 acres with orchards, livestock facilities, and both grist and saw mills.
