Happy Valley Chongqing, Theme park in Yubei District, Chongqing, China
Happy Valley Chongqing is an amusement park divided into six themed zones including Fantasy Island, Typhoon Bay, and Dinosaur Forest. Each area offers rides and attractions designed around different concepts and adventure levels.
The park opened in 2017 as the seventh location in the Happy Valley chain, which started with a park in Shenzhen. This expansion brought the amusement park concept to Chongqing as the company grew.
The Old Chongqing zone features local architecture and shows that reflect how people in the region traditionally lived and entertained themselves. Walking through it gives you a sense of what the city's past looked and felt like.
You can reach the park by metro line 6 to Pingchang Station or by bus, and it opens daily in the morning. Plan to spend a full day exploring since the grounds are spread out across multiple themed zones.
The park features a 120-meter tall Ferris wheel called The Eye of Chongqing that offers views over the Jialing River and the hilly landscape around it. This landmark gives visitors a different perspective on the geography of the area.
