Wartbaum Windecken

The Wartbaum is a large linden tree located near the historic Hohe Straße road, which connects Maintal-Bischofsheim and Niederdorfelden in Hesse. The tree stands in relatively flat countryside and is accessible through walking paths that run through the Regionalpark RheinMain.

The tree stands along the ancient Via Regia trade route and is roughly 500 years old. It served as a strategic observation point during the Middle Ages and remained a well-known landmark in the region for centuries.
