Musée municipal de Hyères

The museum occupies a restored former Bank of France building in downtown Hyères, featuring multiple exhibition levels connected by grand staircases.

The municipal museum, established in 1883, contains collections spanning from antiquity to present day, documenting the evolution of the Mediterranean landscape.

The permanent collection on the first floor presents the rich history of Hyères through artistic representations of its changing coastal and urban landscapes.

Located at 14 Avenue Joseph Clotis, the museum offers guided tours, reduced admission for students and seniors, and free entry on the first Sunday of each month.

The building's original bank vault in the basement has been transformed into an exhibition space while maintaining its historical security features.
