Agiofili beach

Agiofili beach, Coastal beach in Apollonioi, Greece

Agiofili is a white pebble beach on Lefkada's southern coast, framed by steep limestone cliffs and Mediterranean plants. The turquoise water creates a striking contrast with the pale stones along the shore.

The beach developed through geological processes over millennia that shaped Lefkada's southern coast. The limestone cliffs and erosion patterns reflect tectonic movements across long periods.

Local fishermen from Vasiliki village maintain their traditions by sailing their boats past Agiofili beach during their daily maritime activities.

The beach is reachable via a roughly 20-minute walk from the parking area or by regular boat services from Vasiliki port. The terrain is somewhat demanding, so sturdy shoes and plenty of water are recommended.

The water around the beach displays different color shades depending on the time of day as sunlight bounces off the rocks at various angles. The rock formations act like natural walls that completely enclose the shore.
