Historic London Town and Gardens, Archaeological site and tourist attraction in Edgewater, US.

Historic London Town and Gardens spans 23 acres along the South River, featuring preserved colonial structures and extensive botanical collections.

Established by Maryland legislation in 1683, London Town functioned as Anne Arundel County's seat and a central point on the Boston-Charleston transportation route.

The William Brown House, constructed in 1760, transformed from a colonial residence into an almshouse that provided shelter to the county's poor population.

The site operates on Fridays and Saturdays from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM during winter, offering guided tours of both historical areas and gardens.

The Lost Towns Project conducts archaeological excavations at the site, uncovering artifacts that reveal details about colonial life and trade patterns.
