Carnon-Plage

Carnon-Plage is a beach resort on the Mediterranean coast featuring six sandy stretches that extend about seven kilometers. These beaches offer designated swimming areas with lifeguard supervision and connect the marina to the neighboring coastal town.

This location developed as a modern coastal settlement and later became a center for water sports. The founding of the first kite-surfing school in Europe strengthened its reputation as a destination for sports enthusiasts.

The center of this resort features areas designed specifically for families, with regular activities and supervised programs for children during summer months. Locals and visitors gather in these spaces to spend time together by the water.

Most beach sections offer free parking nearby, except for the western area where spaces are more limited. Public transportation and bike rentals make it easy to reach different parts of the shoreline.

The Petit Travers section preserves a more natural landscape with dunes and less developed shoreline. This less built-up area offers a contrast to the other organized recreational zones of the resort.
