Sevastopol Defense Panorama Museum

The museum features a monumental circular painting measuring 115 meters in length and 14 meters in height, depicting the defense of Sevastopol during 1854-1855.

During World War II, numerous artworks were evacuated from the museum, yet the main panoramic canvas sustained damage from bombing raids and required extensive restoration.

The museum's ground floor exhibits military artifacts, documents, and portraits that illustrate the preparations and strategies of Sevastopol's defenders during the Crimean War.

Visitors can access the museum through Istorychnyi Boulevard, with an observation deck offering perspectives of battleground locations from the Malakhov Hill position.

The panorama canvas contains painted elements combined with real objects in the foreground, creating a three-dimensional effect that places viewers within the battle scene.
