Mi Vida, Mexican restaurant at The Wharf, Washington, United States
Mi Vida is a Mexican restaurant on the waterfront that presents traditional recipes and street food interpretations through a modern approach. The space features industrial design elements, waterfront patio seating, private dining rooms, and wheelchair accessibility.
Chef Roberto Santibañez founded the restaurant in partnership with KNEAD Hospitality + Design to elevate Mexican cuisine in Washington DC. The project emerged from a vision to reinterpret traditional Mexican cooking in a contemporary way.
The space features a contemporary take on the Árbol de la Vida, the traditional Mexican tree of life motif, woven into its architectural design. This visual element shapes how guests experience the dining environment from the moment they arrive.
The restaurant is wheelchair accessible and offers private dining spaces as well as outdoor seating by the water. Visitors should know the establishment operates from morning through evening and can get busy at different times of day.
The restaurant hosts special weekly events like Mezcal Mondays where guests can explore different varieties of the spirit. Regular mariachi music performances add a layer of traditional Mexican music to the dining experience.
