Concertgebouw, Concert hall in Amsterdam, Netherlands.

The Concertgebouw features a grand main hall with 1,962 seats and an oval chamber music room designed according to the shoebox acoustic principle.

The construction of this musical venue began in 1883 in the former municipality of Nieuwer-Amstel, opening its doors on April 11, 1888.

The Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra, established in conjunction with the hall, performs regular concerts featuring compositions from classical and contemporary repertoires.

The concert hall operates daily from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM, offering wheelchair accessibility and an onsite restaurant named LIER for pre-concert dining.

Queen Beatrix granted the concert hall the royal title 'Koninklijk' in 2013, marking its 125th anniversary as a leading music institution.
