Museo Vostell-Malpartida

The museum occupies a former wool washing facility spread across 14,000 square meters within the granite formations of Los Barruecos natural monument.

Wolf Vostell established the museum in October 1976, marking its foundation with the installation of VOAEX, a sculpture created from his personal Opel Admiral car.

The museum maintains three permanent exhibition spaces dedicated to Wolf Vostell's works, Gino Di Maggio's collection, and international conceptual art installations.

Located 14 kilometers from Cáceres city, visitors can reach the museum by following the N-521 road toward Portugal until Malpartida, then taking Lavadero de Lanas path.

The building integrates art exhibitions within an 18th-century industrial complex where sheep wool was processed using water from the adjacent Barruecos de Abajo pond.
