Al Falamanki
Al Falamanki is a restaurant and café in Manara, Beirut, with indoor and outdoor spaces surrounded by plants and trees. The establishment combines traditional Lebanese decor, vintage photographs and tiles with modern amenities, offering grilled halloumi, mezze, and breakfast items on its menu.
The place was founded by Anis Falamanki to honor his father Khalil, born in 1917 and known for his wrestling career. After an injury ended his sports, Khalil worked as a bodyguard for a wealthy businessman and traveled worldwide, meeting notable figures and collecting memories.
The name Al Falamanki honors the founder's father, Khalil, whose life spanned from athletics to world travel. The space reflects this personal legacy through its decorations and energy, becoming a gathering spot where visitors experience the rhythm of Beirut's daily life.
The restaurant operates throughout the day with seating options for morning, afternoon, and evening visits. The garden is especially pleasant during cooler evenings, while the air-conditioned indoor space provides comfort during hot daytime hours.
The interior is filled with souvenirs and photographs from Khalil's world travels, including memories of encounters with famous figures and places. This personal collection transforms each visit into a discovery of stories and memories spanning different eras and locations.
