Mareis - Sea Fishing Discovery Center

The Mareis Center presents exhibits about marine species, fishing methods, and technologies through interactive displays and educational presentations throughout its modern facility.

The museum documents the evolution of fishing practices in Étaples, a town where maritime activities at the Canche River mouth shaped local development for generations.

The center demonstrates traditional fishing techniques and current marine practices while educating visitors about the connection between local communities and sea activities.

The facility opens from 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM between April and September, and from 10:00 AM to 5:30 PM during October through March, with a lunch break.

Visitors can observe native fish species in aquariums while learning about marine ecosystems and sustainable fishing methods through hands-on demonstrations and exhibits.
