Hyćka Restauracja, Polish restaurant in Śródka district, Poznań, Poland
Hyćka Restauracja occupies a former bakery building in Śródka and serves regional Polish dishes featuring traditional Wielkopolska recipes and seasonal ingredients. The space comprises three dining rooms with around fifty seats total.
The establishment was founded in June 2014 by Alicja and Marcin Sadowski in the historical space of a former bakery run by the Borowiak family. The location thus continues the craft tradition of the neighborhood.
The name comes from hyćka, a traditional elderberry flower and fruit syrup made in the Wielkopolska region for generations. The restaurant celebrates this regional specialty through both its cuisine and its identity.
The space works well for small groups and private gatherings thanks to its flexible layout. Reservations are recommended, especially if visiting with a group or planning a special occasion.
Since early 2017, the kitchen has been baking its own sourdough bread using traditional methods. This house-made specialty has become central to the dining experience and gained wider recognition.
