Beaches Negril
Beaches Negril is a resort on the seven-mile stretch of white sand beach in Negril on Jamaica's west coast. The property features pools with a lazy river, a waterpark with slides, room options ranging from suites to villas with private pools, and nine restaurants serving different cuisines.
Negril was established during Spanish colonization and remained a quiet fishing town on the western coast for centuries. Beaches Negril was developed as part of the Sandals resort group and grew into a popular family destination while maintaining its relaxed character and authentic feel.
The name Negril comes from Spanish colonial times and refers to the coastal location. Today the area is a relaxed vacation spot where visitors experience the slower pace of Jamaican life, try local dishes like jerk chicken, and hear reggae music throughout their stay.
The resort is about 90 minutes by shuttle from Montego Bay airport and offers complimentary transport. While the drive is bumpy and can take longer in rain or traffic, guests can relax in an airport lounge and luggage arrives in rooms later, making arrival smooth and easy.
This resort is the only one on-site offering free water skiing, a rare activity in Jamaica. Guests can also take complimentary introductory diving courses that allow them to do one shallow dive daily and explore sea life and coral reefs.
