Heron City, Shopping center in Kungens Kurva, Sweden.
Heron City is a large shopping center in the Kungens Kurva area of Huddinge Municipality, just south of Stockholm. It spans several floors and brings together furniture, electronics, and sporting goods stores alongside a range of restaurants.
The Kungens Kurva area was long dominated by industrial and warehouse use before gradually shifting toward retail from the 1990s onward. Heron City was built as part of that transformation, helping turn the zone into one of the busiest shopping destinations around Stockholm.
Heron City draws families from the surrounding area on weekends, who come to shop and eat together in one trip. The American-style restaurants give the place a casual feel that sets it apart from most Swedish retail destinations.
The center is easy to reach by car, with large parking areas nearby, and buses also stop close to the entrance. Once inside, elevators and wide aisles make it straightforward to move between floors with a stroller or wheelchair.
Heron City houses one of the largest escape room complexes in Scandinavia, with over 30 rooms under one roof. This makes it a destination for groups looking for entertainment beyond shopping or dining.
