Fabryka Wełny
Fabryka Wełny is a hotel building in Pabianice near Łódź situated on the grounds of a former textile factory and combines modern spaces with industrial heritage elements. The facility includes 68 rooms, multiple meeting rooms, a restaurant called Przędzalnia, a spa and wellness area, a bowling center, and sports courts, all within a large, well-organized complex.
The site was an active textile factory about 130 years ago with spinning, dyeing, and a power plant that supplied energy to the facility. The buildings were transformed into a modern hotel while preserving the industrial character through retained brick walls, metal accents, and a functionally repurposed concert hall.
The name Fabryka Wełny refers to its past as a wool factory, and visitors can sense this history through the exposed brick walls and metal accents throughout the building. This connection to the past shapes how people experience the rooms and creates a link between guests and the site's industrial heritage.
The hotel provides over 300 free parking spaces and offers convenient access to major roads, making arrival and departure straightforward. Visitors should allow time to explore the spacious grounds and navigate between the different facilities on the property.
The old power plant building was converted into a large concert hall but retained notable details like the wood ceilings and an industrial crane hanging from above. This blend of practical purpose and historical record makes the space a place where visitors can directly experience the past.
