Bauernhaus-Museum Allgäu-Oberschwaben Wolfegg

The Bauernhaus Museum spans 12 hectares featuring 16 historical farmhouses and auxiliary buildings that display rural life in the Allgäu and Upper Swabia regions.

Over the past 40 years, this museum has preserved and relocated authentic farm buildings from the region, creating a comprehensive documentation of agricultural development.

The museum contains 26,000 artifacts distributed across 28 residential and economic structures, presenting detailed insights into traditional farming practices and rural customs.

The museum operates seasonally from March 19 to November 11, with extended hours from May to September, and offers guided tours every Sunday at no additional cost.

Visitors can interact with local farm animals including Allgäu Brown cattle, chickens, goats, pigs, and geese while exploring gardens filled with regional flowers and herbs.
