Pfarrkirche St. Katharina, Catholic parish church in Wolfegg, Germany.
Pfarrkirche St. Katharina is a Baroque parish church featuring a rectangular nave with a semi-circular apse and four window bays marked by alternating pilasters and round-arched windows. The building displays typical Baroque proportions and symmetry throughout its exterior walls.
Construction of the church took place between 1733 and 1742 under architect Johann Georg Fischer's supervision. The neo-Baroque bell tower was added much later, in 1906, based on designs by Joseph Cades.
The church is dedicated to Saint Catherine of Alexandria, a figure whose veneration shaped religious life in this region for centuries. You can see her spiritual presence reflected in the building's design and how people gather here for worship today.
You can view the church from outside at any time and attend services to explore the interior fully. The building sits centrally in Wolfegg and is easily reached on foot.
Inside sits a restored Hör organ dating from 1742 with three manuals and original Baroque prospect pipes that still sound during services. This instrument was brought back to full working condition through careful restoration work.
