IPPUDO
IPPUDO | MAiSEN The Gardens Mall is a Japanese restaurant combining two well-known brands under one roof for the first time, offering both tonkotsu ramen and breaded pork cutlets. The space features exclusive grilled skewers available only here, along with specialty soft serve ice creams made for this location.
The first location opened in February 2025 as the world debut of combining these two Japanese restaurant brands in one space. This marks the beginning of planned expansion with additional combined outlets in Malaysia as the concept gains positive reception.
The restaurant displays Japanese craftsmanship in food preparation, with the open kitchen allowing diners to watch cooks use traditional techniques for breading and slow-cooking broths. Both brands maintain their separate identities here, showing how Japanese restaurants preserve authentic methods even when sharing one space.
The restaurant is located on the third floor of The Gardens Mall and is open daily from 10:30 am to 10 pm. Visiting during quieter times like midday helps avoid lines, and the value is enhanced by free refills on rice and miso soup throughout your meal.
The tonkotsu broth simmers for 15 hours to create the foundation for many ramen varieties, including a spicy Mala version with Szechuan peppercorns. The Maisen side uses only the top 10 percent of pork cuts, so tender they can be sliced with chopsticks.
