Seven Bungalows, Residential neighborhood in Versova Mumbai, India.
Seven Bungalows is a residential neighborhood in Versova, western Mumbai, with parks, restaurants, and residential buildings arranged around Jayaprakash Narayan Road. The area functions as a developed suburb with mixed commercial and housing spaces.
The neighborhood took its name from seven original bungalows that belonged to different maharajas during early Mumbai. One structure, designed by architect Claude Batley in 1930, still stands in the area today.
Residents gather at Dadabhai Navroji Garden and Nana Nani Park for everyday activities and relaxation. These spaces reflect how the diverse community of this suburb uses the neighborhood.
The area is well connected through Seven Bungalows Bus Station and Versova metro station, making it easy to reach from other parts of the city. Nearby railway stations at Andheri and Bhayandar offer additional travel options.
The last remaining original bungalow was built for textile merchant Maneklal Chunilal Chinai and is still owned by the Chinai family. This 1930 structure stands as a reminder of the area's early wealthy residents.
