Oriental Hotel Okinawa Resort & Spa
The Oriental Hotel Okinawa Resort & Spa is a coastal resort in Nago, built in the shape of a ship with soft pink exterior walls that face the sea. All rooms have ocean-facing balconies, and a long outdoor garden pool with a water slide runs along the property.
The hotel reopened in March 2022 under its current name after a full renovation that updated all rooms and public spaces. The building had operated for years under a different name before this transformation took place.
The hotel sits at the entrance to Yambaru National Park, and on summer evenings local groups perform traditional Okinawan music and dance on the grounds. These performances give guests a direct and genuine encounter with the living traditions of the region.
The resort is about 70 minutes by car from Naha Airport, and a direct limousine bus connects the two. Guests in Club-level rooms have access to a private lounge, while all guests can use the spa, fitness center, and several dining areas on site.
The resort has a shop called AKIN KRIN, a phrase in the local Okinawan dialect that roughly means 'this and that'. Guests can borrow games and other items from it, giving the place a relaxed, neighborhood-shop feel that stands out in a large resort setting.
