Alessandro & Frederico Restaurante is an Italian restaurant in Rio de Janeiro's South Zone, situated in Ipanema on Garcia d'Ávila street. The space offers an open, airy layout with simple tables, an open kitchen, and serves housemade pasta, wood-fired pizza, and daily preparations of meat and seafood dishes alongside freshly baked bread.
Founder Fabrizio Giuliodori, born in Milan, opened the first Alessandro & Frederico in Ipanema in 1998 and named it after his two children. Over the years, the restaurant grew in reputation and expanded to other locations while maintaining its focus on authentic Italian cuisine served in a relaxed yet elegant setting.
The restaurant reflects its founder's Italian heritage and his passion for bringing authentic Italian flavors to Rio de Janeiro. Today, visitors can see how traditional recipes and imported ingredients shape the dining experience and bring together locals and travelers alike.
