Café Chocolatti
Cafe Chocolatti is a small restaurant in Candolim specializing in homemade chocolates, pastries, and European-style breakfast items. The space occupies a villa-like building with distinct English and Portuguese architectural features, surrounded by a green garden with outdoor seating areas and stone pathways.
The cafe was established about ten years ago by a London-born resident who initially sold only chocolates and brownies from a small shop. What started as a modest chocolate operation has grown into a full-service cafe while maintaining its simple foundation.
The cafe reflects the blend of English and Portuguese architectural heritage that defines Goa's character. This mix is visible in the building's design and garden layout, allowing visitors to experience how these cultural influences shaped everyday spaces in the region.
The cafe opens at nine in the morning and closes on Tuesdays and during monsoon season from June to September. Parking is readily available nearby, and the hidden location behind a small entrance gate keeps the space quiet and peaceful.
The cafe is deliberately tucked behind a tiny gate on the footpath, creating the feeling of a hidden spot that only insiders discover. This intentional seclusion has allowed it to maintain a quiet and personal character despite growing in size and popularity over the years.
