Museum of Goa

The Museum of Goa is an art museum located in Pilerne with three floors and rotating exhibitions spread across approximately 1,500 square meters. The space includes a sculpture garden and features both established and emerging artists in its displays.

The museum was founded in 2015 and came into being through the vision of a local artist who invested significant resources into the project. It has since developed into an important venue for contemporary art in the Goa region.

The museum displays works by artists from India and around the world, with rotating exhibitions that showcase contemporary art from different perspectives. Visitors can observe how local and international artistic voices are brought together in the same space.

The museum is open Tuesday through Sunday and can be easily reached if you are in the surrounding area. It is best to check ahead for any special exhibitions and allow time to explore all three floors and the garden.

The venue includes an on-site cafe serving food and drinks, plus a shop selling art books and local artworks. These additions make a visit here more of a complete cultural experience rather than just viewing exhibitions.
