Far de Favàritx, Lighthouse on Cap de Favàritx, Menorca, Spain.

Far de Favàritx is a cylindrical concrete tower situated on a headland along Menorca's northeastern shore, marked by distinctive black and white spiral stripes. The structure stands approximately 28 meters high and dominates the landscape where visitors can approach via walking paths from nearby areas.

This structure was built in 1922 as a response to dangerous maritime conditions that had caused ships to run aground on the rocky northern coast. Its construction reflected the growing need for better navigation aids in this treacherous area.

The lighthouse serves as a local landmark connected to the maritime heritage of the island's northern coast. Visitors walking here gain a sense of how this structure has shaped the way people navigate and understand this remote coastline.

The best way to reach this site is by walking via the surrounding hiking trails, as vehicle access is limited or restricted. Good footwear and weather protection are essential, as the headland is exposed to coastal winds and weather conditions.

The site sits on black slate cliffs within a protected natural area and stands near a natural pool created by sea storms. This hidden location demonstrates how ocean forces have shaped the landscape of this region.
