Arenal Castell

Arenal Castell is a white sand beach in Es Mercadal that stretches about 650 meters along the coast and measures roughly 20 meters across. The shore features light-colored sand, shallow waters suitable for swimming, and scattered rocks framing the water's edge.

The beach takes its name from the nearby Castell, an old fortification that once guarded the coast. Over time it has remained a quiet coastal area used by fishermen and later by visitors seeking its sheltered waters.

The beach is easy to access and offers good entry to the water for swimmers of all levels. Parking and basic facilities can be found in the nearby village of Es Mercadal.

The beach is regularly used by local fishermen, and you can often spot traditional boats anchored in the cove. This blend of swimming area and working fishing grounds gives the place its own character.
