Lovrečina

Lovrečina is a sandy beach in Postira, stretching about 400 meters along clear waters with pine trees lining the shore. The sand shelves gently into shallow waters, making it suitable for swimmers of different abilities.

Remains of a 5th-century basilica dedicated to Saint Lawrence can be found near this location. These ruins reveal that the area held religious importance during the early Christian period.

The beach takes its name from Saint Lawrence, whose feast day draws the local community together each August 10th. This religious observance remains woven into the rhythm of the village year.

The beach is easily reached by car from Postira, with parking spots near the shore for visitor convenience. A restaurant at the location serves local food and provides refreshment between swimming sessions.

The shallow waters that extend far from the shore create one of the safest swimming environments on the island for families with young children. This combination of safety and sandy bottom is less common along the Dalmatian coast.
