Golf dell'Ugolino, Golf course in Bagno a Ripoli, Italy.
Golf dell'Ugolino is an 18-hole course in Bagno a Ripoli spread across rolling hills with forests, olive trees, and sloping fairways throughout the terrain. The layout combines natural landscape features with practice areas and facilities for different playing levels.
British architects Blandford and Gannon designed the site in 1933 along the via Chiantigiana road. This creation introduced established golfing standards to Italy and anchored an important sporting facility in the region.
The club sits within the Tuscan countryside and reflects regional building traditions through its use of local stone and Mediterranean design.
The course is open from Tuesday through Sunday and rents equipment for players of various abilities. Arriving with time to spare allows for better orientation on the grounds and access to all available facilities.
Later holes such as the ninth present particular challenges with water hazards and elevated greens that demand careful play. These technical features create memorable moments on the course and require extra focus from visitors.
