Plage du Centre Ville

Plage du Centre Ville is a Mediterranean beach featuring coarse sand in its western section and fine sand toward the east. The shoreline extends for several hundred meters and connects to a network of waterways that shape the surrounding area.

The beach developed in the 1960s as part of Port Grimaud's creation, designed by architect François Spoerry. This planned waterfront community transformed the area and established a new center for coastal activity near Saint-Tropez.

Local restaurants along the waterfront serve regional dishes and you can see traditional fishing boats docked at the quays throughout the day. The place shows how tourism and historical fishing traditions coexist in the area.

You can reach the beach from the paid parking area along Quai des Fossés, where showers and lifeguard stations are available. Designated swimming zones help keep the area organized during busy periods.

From this beach you can see directly across the water to Saint-Tropez on the opposite shore. This vantage point offers a view of the famous coastal town from an angle most visitors do not expect.
