Plage Fournas

Plage Fournas is a pebbled beach nestled between red rock formations from the Esterel mountains and Mediterranean pine trees that provide natural shade. The cove features shallow waters suitable for swimming, with the red geological formations creating a dramatic backdrop.

This beach is part of the ancient French Riviera coastline shaped by geological forces over millions of years. The red porphyry rocks that define the cove are part of the Esterel massif, one of the oldest mountain ranges in the region.

Reaching this cove requires a steep coastal walk from nearby beaches, so wear proper hiking shoes and allow extra time. The path crosses rocky terrain and involves some climbing, making it best suited for visitors with moderate fitness.
