Pagode Hông Hiên Tu, Buddhist temple in Fréjus, France

The Pagode Hông Hiên Tu exhibits Vietnamese architectural elements with its rectangular structure, elevated ground level, and decorated wooden dragon corners.

Construction of the temple began in 1917 under Captain Delayen and Colonel Lame, making it the first Buddhist temple established in Europe.

The temple maintains Vietnamese Buddhist traditions through regular celebrations, including Têt and Buddha's birthday festivities on May 6th each year.

Visitors can access the temple Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday from 10:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with admission fees of 4 euros per person.

A replica bell from the Celestial Lady Temple of Hue stands in the garden, next to a two-meter Buddha statue weighing 1.5 tons.
