Balata Golf Practice

Balata Golf Practice is a golf facility in Grayan-et-l'Hôpital featuring a 9-hole training course and a driving range with 10 practice stations. Three covered positions allow year-round practice regardless of weather conditions.

The golf facility was established in 1994 with the goal of developing a full 18-hole course supported by the Médoc Atlantique Community. Over time it evolved into a training and learning center for golfers.

The facility operates a golf school called 'Les drôles de Balata' for children aged 7 to 17, introducing local youth to golf techniques and traditions.

The facility is open daily from 14:30 to 18:30, with equipment available for rent and no need to reserve tee times in advance. You can simply arrive and practice at your own pace.

The facility operates with environmental principles, avoiding irrigation systems and chemical fertilizers throughout the grounds. This creates a natural playing environment distinct from typical modern golf courses.
