Garden Golf de Margaux, Golf course in Margaux, France
Garden Golf de Margaux is a golf course spreading across 45 hectares of flat land framed by oak and elm trees that border the Gironde estuary. The 18-hole layout stretches 6048 meters and includes par-3, par-4, and par-5 holes.
The course opened in 2006 after being designed by Olivier Dongradi and converted from farmland into a sporting facility. This development brought a new recreational dimension to the Margaux wine region.
The course sits within the wine-growing landscape that defines Margaux, and players naturally encounter views of local vineyards as they move through their rounds. This setting connects the golfing experience to the region's identity as a wine-producing area.
The facility has a clubhouse with 16 practice stalls where players can warm up before their rounds, and golf carts are available for rent. The course is also designed with accessibility in mind for players with mobility requirements.
Three challenging par-3 holes and two signature par-5 holes incorporate water hazards that require careful shot planning. These water crossings test skill at different points across the layout.
