Golf du Beaujolais, Golf course in Lucenay, France.
Golf du Beaujolais is an 18-hole course laid out across rolling hills near Lucenay, surrounded by vineyard landscapes in the Rhône-Alpes region. The layout stretches about 5900 meters and integrates the natural terrain with the surrounding wine-growing landscape.
The course opened in 1989 following a design by Green Concept. It became established within the regional golf leagues of Rhône-Alpes relatively quickly after its launch.
The clubhouse occupies a historic stone building where visitors can taste local Beaujolais wines and enjoy regional food, reflecting the wine-growing tradition of the area.
The course sits north of Lyon and opens daily, allowing players to visit in early morning or late afternoon slots. The facility has adequate parking and is relatively easy to reach by car or public transport.
The course features water hazards on roughly half of its holes as a defining element. This makes technical skill and precision more important than distance, creating a strategic playing experience.
