La forêt des Singes

The park spans across 20 hectares of natural forest land where 150 Barbary macaques move freely among visitors throughout designated pathways and observation areas.

Established in 1998, this wildlife sanctuary emerged from a European initiative to protect and study Barbary macaques, a species native to North African mountains.

The park maintains a research center dedicated to understanding primate behavior, contributing scientific data about social structures and communication patterns among Barbary macaques.

Visitors can participate in guided feeding sessions every 45 minutes, learning proper interaction techniques while maintaining a safe distance from the monkeys.

The facility includes a 1.3-kilometer trail system that enables guests to follow the daily routines of macaque families without physical barriers between species.
