L'Archéosite d'Aubechies, Archaeological theme park in Aubechies, Belgium.
The Archeosite features replicas of ancient dwellings across five millennia, from Neolithic houses to a Gallo-Roman villa with detailed interior decorations.
The site originated from archaeological discoveries by Léonce Demarez, who uncovered Gallo-Roman remains in Blicquy and established this educational center.
The reconstructed buildings include craft workshops, grain storage facilities, and ceremonial spaces that demonstrate the technological progression of ancient societies.
Visitors can explore the park Monday through Friday from 9:00 to 17:00 and Sundays from 14:00 to 18:00, with guided tours available throughout the day.
A 16-meter Roman barge, based on an original vessel displayed in Ath, floats on the water to demonstrate ancient transportation methods.
