Le Mars Aventures, Recreation area in Le Falgoux, France
Le Mars Aventures is a recreation area spread across 4 hectares of forest between Salers and Puy Mary, offering five different adventure courses at heights ranging from 1 to 10 meters. The park combines climbing stations, zip lines, and net structures designed for different skill levels.
The Community of Communes of Pays de Salers partnered with the municipality of Le Falgoux to create this park as a way to encourage forest exploration and outdoor recreation. The development emerged from a desire to bring visitors deeper into the natural landscape of the mountain region.
Four contemporary art installations line the trails and share information about the local plants and animals of the Cantal region. These works encourage visitors to pay closer attention to the natural surroundings.
The park operates from July to September and requires advance reservations for climbing activities. Visit during dry weather for the best conditions, and wear comfortable shoes with good grip for navigating the courses safely.
The park features a 400 square meter (4300 square foot) network of colorful suspended nets reaching 14 meters high, connected by bridges, slides, and climbing systems. This unusual installation stands out as one of the most distinctive attractions on the grounds.
