Disney California Adventure

Disney California Adventure is a theme park in Anaheim, California, spreading nine differently themed areas across more than 29 hectares (72 acres). Each area carries its own flavor, from recreated 1920s city views to zones based on well-known movies.

The park opened on February 8, 2001, as the second facility at Disneyland Resort after nearly three years of construction. It complemented the existing offering and broadened the range of attractions within the complex.

The name honors California's history and landscapes, with recreated streets recalling earlier decades of Los Angeles. Visitors often notice the mix of film sets and southern Californian architecture that traces the character of this region.

The grounds are open daily, and most entrances offer accessible routes for wheelchairs and strollers. Tickets can be purchased online in advance, which may reduce waiting times on site.

Unlike many other Disney parks worldwide, alcoholic drinks are served in several restaurants here. Seasonal culinary events bring additional specialties from different regions of California into the program.
