Disney California Adventure

This facility is a theme park in Anaheim, California, with seven themed areas offering rides, shows, and attractions centered on the culture of the West Coast state. Pathways wind through reconstructed streetscapes, waterfronts, and landscapes that recall different eras and settings across California.

The grounds opened in February 2001 as the second park within Disneyland Resort, bringing new attractions to Southern California. Over the following years, several areas were redesigned to deepen the connection to regional places and stories.

Street names here draw from California's past, and references to films set in the Golden State appear throughout. Some corners bring Mexican folklore to life, while other areas celebrate surfer culture and Hollywood dreams.

Visitors can buy entry passes in advance through the website and check current wait times with a mobile application. Restaurant reservations can be made well ahead, which helps during busier periods.

One roller coaster here extends 6072 feet (1850 meters) and stands as the longest looping coaster in North America. The trains reach a speed of 55 miles per hour (89 kilometers per hour).
