Water Waves Land
Water Waves Land is an indoor water park in Mashhad, Iran, with slides, pools, a sauna, and a hot tub spread across separate zones. It also has an artificial river running through the facility, along with a restaurant and a cafe on site.
The park opened in 2007 as the first indoor water park of its kind in Iran. It was built outside the center of Mashhad with families and tourists in mind from the start.
Water Waves Land follows the local practice of offering separate sections for men and women, each with its own slides and pools. This setup allows families from across Iran to visit together while respecting local customs.
Visitors with long hair should bring a swim cap, as one is required throughout the facility. Valuables can be stored in lockers on site, which makes it easier to move freely between the different zones.
One of the slides is designed as a free-fall drop, where the floor opens beneath the rider before the descent begins. This type of ride is rarely found in an Iranian water facility.
