Rainforest Adventures-Flying Dutchman
Rainforest Adventures and Flying Dutchman Park spread across the Rockland Estate with multiple zip lines running through tropical plants and mountain landscapes. The park uses the natural surroundings with installed cable systems and chairlifts to give visitors different routes through the heights.
The park sits on the former Emilio Wilson Estate and preserves plantation structures from the 1700s that tell of Sint Maarten's colonial period. This old infrastructure was later transformed into a modern adventure facility.
The Emilio Wilson Museum displays objects and documents from Sint Maarten's plantation era, telling the story of this period through the Wilson family. Visitors can see the old structures on site and understand how people lived and worked here.
The park is open daily and offers combined tickets that give access to multiple activities. Good shoes and reasonable fitness are recommended, since the grounds are hilly and some activities require physical effort.
The Flying Dutchman is one of the steepest zip lines worldwide and runs from Sentry Hill over an enormous vertical distance. The ride stretches across the valley and offers an unforgettable view of the surrounding landscape during the descent.
