Terra Botanica, Plant-themed theme park in Avrillé, France
Terra Botanica extends across 27 hectares, featuring 275,000 plant species displayed through various climate-controlled greenhouses and themed garden environments.
The park opened in April 2010 on the former Angers-Avrillé airfield site, following a construction project that required an investment of 83 million euros.
The park organizes regular botanical lectures and educational programs about plant biodiversity, connecting visitors with horticultural expertise from the Anjou region.
The facility maintains operation from Monday to Tuesday and weekends between 10:00 and 18:00, offering complete wheelchair accessibility throughout its premises.
Visitors can experience a miniature Loire River barge journey and travel through treetops in nutshell-shaped pods while discovering different plant environments.
