Gowa Discovery Park

Gowa Discovery Park is a water facility spanning about 7 hectares near the historic Benteng Somba Opu fortress. The site includes multiple swimming pools, water slides, a lazy river, and separate areas designed for children and families.

The park opened in 2013 on land close to the Benteng Somba Opu fortress, a major trading harbor during the 16th century Gowa Dynasty. This location blends modern leisure facilities with a site that held economic importance for the region historically.

The park features a bird garden where visitors can see Indonesian native species like birds of paradise and eagles in open settings. This collection helps people understand the animal life that exists naturally in this region.
