Strandbad Spessartblick
Strandbad Spessartblick is a swimming facility on the edge of Großkrotzenburg with clean water and multiple recreational options. The site features three small islands, a gentle stream for children, swimming areas ranging from shallow to deep water around 18 meters, and courts for badminton and beach volleyball.
The swimming facility was established as a bathing area for the local community and has been part of the regional leisure offering for many years. Over time, various features such as playgrounds and sports fields were added to expand its recreational appeal.
The beach bath takes its name from the nearby Spessart forest region that characterizes the landscape. It serves as a gathering place where locals and visitors spend time together, creating a relaxed community atmosphere on the water.
The site is easily accessible by car, bus, or bike with ample parking and bike racks available. Changing facilities, restrooms, and showers with some warm water options are provided, and two kiosks offer drinks and light snacks.
Stand-up paddling is available for a fee, offering a different perspective of the lake for those seeking water activity beyond swimming. The grounds feature old trees providing natural shade, making them invaluable during hot weather.
