Badebucht
Badebucht is a recreation and water park in Wedel with several pools serving different purposes. The site includes a 25-meter lap pool, children's areas with play features such as a pirate ship and water guns, a 90-meter water slide, hot water jets and bubble pools, and a sauna area with various temperatures plus wellness services like massages.
Badebucht was established many decades ago as a place for families and local residents to swim comfortably. Over the years buildings were renovated and new facilities added while maintaining its character as a familiar local gathering spot.
The name Badebucht refers to its bay-like water area and signals a place for water enjoyment. Today people of all ages use it as a social meeting point where families spend time together and friends gather to unwind.
It is best to arrive early to secure a good spot since the area gets crowded later in the day, especially during holidays. Visitors should bring swimwear, towels, sunscreen and comfortable shoes and can store valuables in the lockers provided.
Special sauna nights are held every second Friday offering a unique experience with different programs and social opportunities. These events create a lively atmosphere where visitors can enjoy the warm sauna rooms deep into the evening.
