Therme Meran
Terme Merano is a thermal bath complex in the city of Meran, built with glass and steel structures that blend modern architecture with natural materials. The facility contains 13 indoor pools and more than 11 outdoor pools set in a large park, a sauna section with multiple bath types, and a wellness center offering massages and beauty treatments.
Meran has held a wellness tradition for centuries, with thermal springs long recognized for their healing properties. The modern complex opened in 2005, combining the region's historical healing legacy with contemporary architecture and technology.
The name refers to thermal waters, reflecting the long tradition of wellness in this region. Today the baths serve as a gathering place where locals and visitors come together to rest and care for their health in a relaxed environment.
The thermal bath is centrally located in town and easy to reach on foot, with parking available in an underground garage on site. Indoor pools are open year-round, while outdoor pools are accessible during warmer months from May through September.
The thermal source originates from the Vigiljoch mountain region and has been flowing through underground tunnels since 1966, creating mineral-rich water with radon, fluoride, and other elements. This water has been traditionally used to support breathing and joint health.
